Personal data protection

The CNRS policy for using cookies has been developed in alignment with its mission of scientific research. Below, you can find information on protection of personal data.

This point is extremely important for us. We follow national and international recommendations regarding data protection, in particular, le Règlement Général sur la Protection des Données (RGPD) – General Regulation on Data Protection. We would like to draw your attention to when we save data and how we use them.

In accordance with the relevant laws and regulations, in particular the French Data Protection Act, amended Act n°78‐17 of  6 January 1978, relating to information technology, data files and privacy rights, and European Regulation n°2016/679/EU of  27 April 2016 (applicable since 25 May 2018), you have the possibility to exercise your right to access personal data, to request correction or deletion of the data, to request that processing of the data be limited, to oppose processing the data or to withdraw consent to the processing of the data. To exercise your rights, contact the person responsible for data processing at the laboratory, at the following address: CNRS RT TAAM UAR44 3B rue de la Férollerie 45071 Orléans Cedex2, France (rt.taam@cnrs‐orleans.fr).

Personal data

Personal data corresponds to any information concerning a natural person who is identified, or identifiable, directly or indirectly. This includes information such as the name, address, telephone n° and the email address, the type of service accessed and also the IP address, the MAC address and the user name. Information such as time spent on the web site, or the number of web site users, should not be directly associated with the identity of a person or even allow a person to be identified.

We collect personal data for various purposes, such as dealing with requests, communicating with you, organising a meeting or as a link with your professional activity.

Collection and retention of personal data

Our policy is to reduce such data to a minimum. As for the data we do collect, you have a choice: when asked to provide personal data, you may refuse. However if you choose not to provide the data necessary to obtain a service offer or provision, then this service offer or provision is not available to you.

Data transfer

Your personal data are only transferred when necessary by law, for example when applying French law in the event of attacks on our web site.

TAAM policy on data

The personal data that we collect and save depend on the resources, services and characteristics that you use. Generally, we use the data to communicate with you, i.e. to reply to requests for information, to send an up-date of our services, to respond to a client satisfaction survey and to keep you informed of TAAM activities. Personal data are also used to prepare benchmarking feedback, which entails following the number, the connections and the satisfaction of users. These data help us diagnose problems and improve our service.

We share your personal data with PHENOMIN members when appropriate, in order to produce the resources and services of our research infrastructure.
